Community Service Opportunities
Are you interested in a volunteer project that will pay dividends to the community for years to come AND provide you with a feeling of accomplishment and joy? WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU.
If you , or anyone you know, or anyone in your organization, is interested in mentoring 9th grade students entering Capital, Riverside, South Charleston or Saint Albans High Schools, please contact Ralph Miller by e-mail Rmillgroup@aol.com or by calling 304-541-4478 ASAP.
This unique mentoring opportunity will team volunteers with the Education Alliance and a new program titled “Walk The Talk”. Your service would consist of one (1) hour of mentoring per week and will pair you with up to five (5) students (males with males and females with females) for group discussions. The day and time of service will be determined by the volunteer and school personnel. Training will be provided by the Education Alliance and a planned mentoring curriculum will be available for use.
Helping certain students focus on their studies and graduation is a community objective and will provide community benefits.
If you are the kind of person who is passionate about helping the leaders of tomorrow succeed today, please volunteer for this opportunity.
Thank you for your consideration and please pass this information along to another you feel may be interested.
